Research Expertise First, Always

The Online Community Practice utilizes both quantitative and qualitative research and demands the team members be proficient in both, as well as research design, analysis and storytelling. Built from our in-house qualitative and quantitative expertise, our Community Managers received foundational training on all aspects of research, as well as continuous training on new methodologies, the community platform, and presentation skills.  Because we are researchers first, we can adapt to any community platform (although we prefer ours) and serve as the voice of the members. Community Managers are trained to call out emerging themes, changes in sentiments, or ideas that community members have that may lead to new research questions.

Engagement is Key

Our research shows that respondents participate in online communities because they feel valued and heard, and desire a sense of belonging. To foster this connection, our Community Managers are assigned 1-2 Communities to cultivate authentic relationships with members. Additionally, we've found that diverse activities boost engagement, so we design research with various modules (quick surveys, discussions, photo uploads, etc.). This approach strengthens relationships, improves response rates and data quality, and reduces the need for re-recruitment.

Reports That Drive Action

MarketVision’s reports are thoughtfully curated, insight-driven and checked for accuracy and continuity by three different levels of team members. It is important that the reports tell a story that starts with a high-level summary and recommendations, supported by detailed data. Reports for ongoing communities build on previous reports, pulling insights forward.
